General Rules and Regulations - Algonquin Students' Association

Code of Conduct

  • Courtesy and respect are to be shown to all staff members and patrons. Offensive language and unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated.
  • All users must follow instructions and directions from ARC and Wolves Den staff while on the premises. Any breach of such rules and regulations may constitute cause for temporary or permanent reduction or suspension of your privileges or termination of your membership.
  • Please help to create a positive and inclusive environment while using the facility.
  • Please follow the rules and compete with fairness, integrity, and respect.

Photo, Video, and Mobile Device Policy

  • We want to ensure the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre is a place of privacy and safety for all members, visitors, and associates. We understand that sharing on social media is very common, and we love to see members and associates sharing their successes. Still, we want to do so in a way that doesn’t impact the experience of others.
  • Please keep the following in mind while capturing a photo or video in the facility:
    • Photos, videos, and video streaming are permitted in most public areas of the facility; however, they should not capture other members, visitors, or associates unless you have their prior verbal consent.
    • Photos, videos, and video streaming are not permitted in change Rooms, washrooms, showers, or private offices.
    • It is very important that no members, visitors, or associates are captured in photos or videos without their verbal permission.

Algonquin College Photo ID Card

  • All members must use their valid Algonquin College Photo ID Card at each visit in order to gain access to the ARC training portion of the facility. Members are responsible for their own cards at all times and agree to provide additional confirming identification if requested by SA staff from time to time. Please note that a Photo ID card is NOT required for entry into the Wolves Den.
  • If you happen to forget, misplace, or lose your Photo ID card, you will be permitted access upon verification of your identity and membership status. Please note that access to the training facility in this situation will be granted only once per semester, after which time you will need to either locate your card or purchase a new card for an additional $25 fee at Card Services (Room E120 on the first floor of E building).

Guests

  • Athletics areas are only open to ARC members. Guests are only permitted during events open to the general public.
  • Outside personal trainers are not permitted.
  • Card sharing is not permitted at any time.
